We are seeking an experienced fabrication supervisor to lead our fabrication team within our family run business. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone with a strong background in and knowledge of fabrication.
The role
- Supervising and supporting welding/fabrication staff.
- Train, support and mentor team members.
- Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
- Manage job priorities and day to day workflow including assessing overtime needs.
- Ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintaining compliance with regulations including Health & Safety and Company rules and procedures.
- Communicate with various departments within the company.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a fabricator producing work to a high standard.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position of a small team in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Forward thinker who is highly organised with a proactive approach to problem solving and performance improvements.
- Commitment to quality and safe working practices.
- Train the Trainer in relevant areas such as Manual Handling, MWEP, Overhead Crane and Abrasive Wheels is highly desirable.
Hours:
38.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm & Friday 7am-2pm)
